An idea

So everyone always post their monthly results which is cool but I saw someone suggest treating our results as quarters. I truly think this is a better way to rate opur play especially if we are self employed. That being said this is my quarter to shine. I will try my hardest to not check results except for every other week and instead focus solely on making correct decisions at the table. One thing I have stressed over and over which always slips away is villains hand ranges. Hopefully working through HH's here will help me put it into effect more often. I will be posting two hands a day. One I soul owned in and the other where I went WTF.

WTF-Villain is 18/8/1.5, I imagine his limp call range is alot of small PP/SC's when he c/c the flop I put him on pair+draws 78,JT,J9,J8,97. I feel like betting the turn is best to extract from these hands. When he c/r the turn he could still have these hands but I imagine his range is weighted more towards a made straight/2p/set. Easy fold?

Soul read-Villain is 45/11/2. I go for three streets of value here as I feel villains range is mainly worse Kx hands gut shots and other one pair hands he doesnt want to fold. He min raises the river and I know he got there. I know I shouldnt but I had to type in chat "KJ is good NH" and fold.

My goal for the quarter is to play no less then 30 hours a week. My main focus will be 6-max on AP with some HU mixed in on FTP. I am currently in the process of getting my roll back on AP. I am not sad to say that I am glad to be back. This is why.

Mistake free?

I missed Fridays hands and yesterday I only managed to get in two short sessions for a total of 710 hands but I feel like I played mistake free poker. There are like two questionable hands I guess.

Villain is the mark, 46/3/4.3. I feel like on the turn I might be good as he will fire bluffs/2p/and FD's. The river is a miserable card and I am now calling for a chop.

Again villain is the mark, 41/11/2. I opt not to 3bet as we are deep and I have position in the hand, at some point I might want to raise for value as it feels like he is blocking/bluffing alot here.

Taking responsibility.

I will be posting the hands which I feel I played incorrectly daily from now on in hopes of finding leaks and plugging them.

This hand makes me pretty ill. Villain is 17/12/2 and when he called I felt his range was made up of 22-TT. With that range in mind the turn is an easy fold.

Villain in this hand is an unorthodox AP reg whom I imagine must atleast be breakeven. 20/13/5 4.1k hands 3bet% 4.

In realtime I bet simply to bet with no real reason or plan. His c/r makes little to no sense but at the same time this deep vs a aggro opponent I dont know how comfortable I am calling and reevaluating. I think I should be checking back the flop because of this.

Villain is a 18/15/3 TAG reg. I should be folding preflop imo. This was pure spew.

This hand is quite interesting and I think the flop I should maybe crai. 25/19/5 3bet%6.5. When I opened the SB I knew he was going to 3bet hence the light 4bet I think because I am OOP I need to make the 4bet slightly bigger. A trend on AP it seems is to flat 4bets which is confusing to say the least.

Villain is 24/20/4 3bet% 12. Here again I dislike the sizing but AP's software is confusing as it doesnt make it the amount you see but rather ads that to your original bet. When he raises my Raptor bet on the flop do I have any other play?

Well a few mistakes but no one is perfect. The best thing I took away from yesterday was that that K2 hand was literally the 3rd hand of my session and I didnt let it have any effect on my mental game. I stayed solid and played on and logged a $6 winner. Hopefully tomorrow i wont have any hands to post.

I am responsible!

Thats right ME! No one else clicks the buttons when I am playing. Every time I have a decision to make I have the opportunity to make the perfect play. The time has come for me to own. I know I made a crazy post several months back about playing the big game this year. I am not going to say that is impossible but I need a nice short term goal.

This is my 1st month as a true poker professional imo and it has been sub par to say the least. Again I am to blame. The good news is this month isnt over yet and I plan to go out with a bang. I have 4 workdays left in the calender and I will play no less then 1k hands each day. My goal for those 4k hands to play mistake free poker. In order to do so I will have to always think before I click. Every time I have a decision my 1st action will be a deep breath. Now for those 4k hands I will be playing strictly on AP aswell. Next month I plan on splitting my time between AP and FTP and playing a mix of 100NL HU and 200NL 6 max. I will play no less thwen 40k hands as well. By Nov I plan on being ready to reestablish myself as a 2/4 grinder and play my way into 09.
