Struggling

Again. It is insane how I seemingly go up and down with this game every fucking month. This month began like all the others and at some point I began to stress and just meltdown at the tables while playing. I started 3betting too much and generally making bad calls/bluffs in big pots. This will always crush your bottom line obviously. I can whine and tell you i run bad but the fact is there will always be spots where run bad wasnt the issue. Yes cards can crush your soul if you let them but the truth is bad beats aside I am leaking too much money in other areas. Luckily I have found a coach again and will be working to plug them in the months ahead.

Rant aside I decided to write this post to make myself accountable for my lack of proper decision making. I mean what self respecting man who claims to play poker as a means to support his family would allow himself to fail to think through his opponents hand and find a call in these spots?

This guy was 100% vpiper and donked 90%. Sweet river.

You might think the flop is gin but really there is like no reason to do anything but call. If I looked at my note I would notice that this guy has donked a PP and gave up in a similar spot thus his turn DB is weighted towards monsters. Not sure if we can fold turn but river seems super fucking easy.

Posting these is cute and all but if I post many more of these in the weeks to follow I will be without a bankroll. Hopefully you wont be seeing anymore from today on.

Lastly I recorded a session in which i generally feel I got pwned and was helpless. If anyone has any time and wants to do a video sweat please let me know.

Hope all is well

Edit for more spew:

In all honesty this might not look terrible but this guys WTSD is 30%

Hand 1: Is this an ante table and the reason for the huge preflop raise? I imagine so, and that weaktight has yet to be able to incorporate that into preflop pot sizes. I think the turn is very close to a fold, given that his flop lead into 3 people looks pretty strong. While it could possible be an overvalued 6, I think his turn bet certainly screams strength. The river is an extremely trivial fold imo.

Hand 2: Agree with the flop call, you get no benefit from raising. You are never ever folding that turn. So many combos of hands that you were beating have made hands by the time the river hits, you essentially beat nothing, fold.

Hand 3: The turn is gross. An argument can be made for bet/folding the turn imo. Once he calls, I am shutting down on any non-7 river. btw, using a stat like WTSD is a recipe for using stats to justify spew.

Hand 4: Actually, once the flop checks through, I think your turn bet is good. I think at that point, you can get called by worse pps for sure. But yeah, fold to the checkraise.

Hand 1: I raised so big pre simply because of the drooler in the BB who was playing ATC for any price.

Hand 3: I know stats can be an excuse to justify spew. Truth is that stat didnt even come to mind till later. What I was saying is basically trying to bluff this guy off anything is a bad idea.

Hand 4: I didnt actually hate my turn bet because like you said they may call with worse and I was actually targeting the player in the blind suspecting the CO had a baby PP a bunch. Thing is I am only ever getting 1 street, not sure if it should be turn or river. Lastly it is an easy ass fold and I leveled myself into thinking someone at 100NL could hand read and c/r as a bluff given that my hand is never a K though tbh I probably should be checking back a K here a good % of the time.
