Some fun hands.

I ended the week in the green which is nice but what a week it was. I sucked out, got sucked out. Playing with the worst of the worst with aggression is insanely difficult. How does one combat a super hypro aggro donk? I find myself becoming easily frustrated and tempted to play back when I shouldnt. In an attempt to better myself I have been working on devising a strategy to deal with such villians. I will let you know when I feel I have found a solid way to deal with them.

Today we will start with the winners.

SB ($207.50)

BB ($111.60)

UTG ($325.92)

Hero ($201)

CO ($88.05)

1 fold, Hero raises to $4, CO calls $4, 2 folds, BB raises to $12, Hero raises to $32, CO folds, BB raises to $111.6 (All-In), Hero calls $79.60.

Simply standard for the most part. I sometimes might slow play AA in a 3-bet pot in order to trap my Opp on the flop. In this situation if I just call I am giving the CO great odds to call and possibly playing a 3way pot. In this spot I would have been hard pressed to get payed after te flop as well.

Button ($189.05)

SB ($107.20)

BB ($34.30)

Hero ($291.80)

MP ($24.15)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with 9s, 9c.

Hero raises to $4, 1 fold, Button calls $4, 1 fold, BB calls $3.

I had a semi-LAG image at thew time or atleast against the villian here as he seemed to be calling all my preflop raises and playing back at me on the flop. He mostly would float and take it away which was maddening and I was waiting for the perfect hand to get him

Flop: ($12.50) Kh, Kc, 9h (3 players)

BB checks, Hero bets $8, Button raises to $16, BB folds, Hero calls $8.

Here it is, now how do I get his money? If he does have the K a reraise here might get it in but I decide to smooth call and check raise the turn as I will extract more value from his bluffs and we will get it in most times he has a K by the river anyway.

Turn: ($44.50) 8h (2 players)

Hero checks, Button bets $30, Hero raises to $90, Button calls $60.

I opt for a 3x raise as that will leave him 80 behind and I will get it from him on the river.

River: ($224.50) Kd (2 players)

Hero checks, Button checks.

Just a sick sick card. I have to be in trouble after he calls my turn check raise. Or maybe not.

Final Pot: $224.50

Results in white below:

Button doesn't show.

Hero has 9s 9c (full house, kings full of nines).

Outcome: Hero wins $224.50.

BB ($78.29)

Hero ($200)

MP ($366)

CO ($206.44)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with As, Qs.

Hero raises to $4, 2 folds, Button calls $4, 1 fold, BB calls $3.

Flop: ($12.50) Ac, Qd, 4c (3 players)

BB checks, Hero bets $9, Button calls $9, BB calls $9.

Flopped top 2 have to think I am best. standard c-bet.

Turn: ($39.50) Kh (3 players)

BB checks, Hero bets $28, Button folds, BB calls $28.

With both villians calling my flop bet at least one is on a FD and I decide I have to charge them. Also if I am against a weak A I want to get max value.

River: ($95.50) 7s (2 players)

BB checks, Hero bets $38, BB calls $37.29 (All-In).

No point in betting anything less then villians stack at this point.

Final Pot: $170.79

Results in white below:

BB doesn't show.

Hero has As Qs (two pair, aces and queens).

Outcome: Hero wins $170.79.

Flop: ($21.50) 5d, As, Kh (3 players)

Hero bets $12, UTG calls $12, Button folds.

I love this flop. This villian had just sucked out on me the hand before AI and I was looking to get my chips back here. Looking at this now I didnt realize just how weakly I bet this flop. I should have led for 15.

Turn: ($45.50) 3h (2 players)

Hero bets $32, UTG calls $32.

At this point when he calls I fire 3/4 pot looking to get it in if I can.

River: ($109.50) 2h (2 players)

Hero bets $63, UTG calls $59.90 (All-In).

I dont know that this was a horrible river shove or not? I was playing way to quick and missed the four straight on board. I saw backdoor flush but I would be hard pressed to think that was a possibility. The sickest thing about this hand is seeing villains hole cards and the percentages on the flop. I win here 97.58% of the time, villain 1.92%. Thats just down right wrong. LOL!

Final Pot: $232.40

Results in white below:

Hero has Ks Ac (two pair, aces and kings).

UTG has Ah 4s (straight, five high).

Outcome: UTG wins $229.30. Hero wins $3.09.

BB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets $24, CO raises to $72 (All-In), BB folds, UTG folds, Hero calls $48.

Funny when villian calls my 3bet I was a little suspicious but he was 45/5 so he obviously doent raise much. Not a bad flop for my hand and I decide to c-bet. I was new to this table and I had no reads. When the flop came I looked at the stacks involved in the pot and decided then and there I would most likely get it in. As it turns out I was getting the right odds here and overall this was +EV.
