Weekends

Wow they are insane. The donks are everywhere and the money is flying about. I ended mine by dropping 2.5 BIs at 400NL. Weeeeeeee! Not really caring to be honest as I feel I am playing decent. I did run into two sick spots with sets tonight. Yeah I lost both.

Hand 1: Should I fold preflop? Cooler right?

Hand 2: The min raiser was a huge fish who i figured wouold call if I did. The flop is exactly like my previous one which was sick. Is donking the best choice here? I checked because the fish in the hand had a tendency of donking flops alot and I thought I met get a bet and a raise spot which would be sweet. Now as I type that I think how strong that would make my hand look where as leading looks strong but could be seen as a draw alot more. In regards to this hand 1st how do you play flop? 2nd consider this turn as played and also consider it as if we had donked and been called. Whats are action? Another cooler? If I need to shut my hole and move on please do say so.

I would normally donk out or check raise the flop with 66. He won't be able to put you on too many real hands (66, AQ), so it's a really good spot to play your set fast. I prefer donking here as it's more likely to trap the guy in the middle. If I donked and he called, I probably keep firing the turn.

I agree 100% with dodgy's assessment. Though I am noticing that I don't seem to get raised often when I try to do a donk/shove, with either sets or flush draws and overs, that gets frustrating. I think the difference between donk/shoving and checkraising are completely dependent on how the villain wil respond to your donk bet.
